Sponsors

You are invited to become a sponsor of our Gumbo of Ballroom weekend and be recognized in our competition program. All donations to Louisiana DanceSport and to USA Dance are tax deductible at their fair market value under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. You can specify that your donation be used for scholarships or for general purposes. Proceeds from the competition weekend are used to expand ballroom and to nurture ballroom as a competitive sport among our young dancers.

To become a sponsor, contact Cecil Phillips at 225-767-3853 or by email at cphill99@cox.net. Inquiries can also be made to Ann at 985-853-0030 or fliprann@aol.com.

Irvin Pelegrin Memorial Scholarship Fund

Among the donations listed above were 20 contributions to Louisiana
DanceSport’s Irvin Pelegrin Memorial Scholarship Fund. The total amount received
through May 22 was $2,970. Scholarship awards will be made to the amateur winners of selected events in the Regional Championships and Louisiana

Saturday Night Ballroom Scholarship Fund

A new fund was established this year by Saturday Night Ballroom to assist Baton Rouge area students entering the Gumbo competitions. The $420 fund was divided among three high school and college competitors to support their entry fees and expenses.
